Ensure Proper Lubrication

While everyone knows that machines must be properly lubricated for optimal use, it is not always clear how failure to lubricate certain parts of a machine’s surface can cause problems. Imagine two metal surfaces that come into contact without lubrication. When they rub against each other, they heat up. This in turn can erode the metal surfaces and render the machine inoperable. Lubricants help reduce friction and prevent this erosion so that the metal parts remain intact.
